Nessebar - Old Town

We stayed in the Old Town part of Nessebar, which was on an island.

Ancient ruins
A maze of back alleys

I can't imagine what an "Ice Cream Saloon" is...sounds illegal
"Uncle George" was the best sidewalk restaurant-barker in the city.  But, he wasn't all show.  He ran a tight ship and we got some of the best service of the whole trip.  He gave us free homemade rakia, homemade pickled peppers, and served up some of the best-tasting fish I've had in my life (blue fish from the Black Sea).
Uncle George understands the power of the high five.

Mrs. Uncle George
Spectacular views from restaurants and bars
Many colorful ships
We all hate shopping, but we all strangely enjoyed the narrow streets and variety of  shops, each finding a few souvenirs to take home.
