It turned out to be a great decision, as its high perch provided panoramic views of the city and countryside.
It was clearly a place the people of the city revered as a solemn place, where visitors were obliged to quietly respect the dignity of their austere history...
It reminded me of other places I've traveled where the tremendous impact of the location's beauty and import to the human record forces one to look inward and seriously reflect on one's own place in time, and the spirituality mankind has sought for eons...
